What's so special about this version?

With the exception of the initial Welcome screen, the original Lite version displayed no ads. This version is now obsolete, and when you try to log in, you are instructed to upgrade to a later version, or the program terminates.

With the introduction of ICQ 5, patching this version no longer works. We recommend uninstalling ICQ, Yahoo IM and MSN, and replacing them all with Trillian. It can be downloaded from www.trillian.cc
